In my collage, I chose to represent myself through these memories. I drew a simple figure standing beside a tree, with stars shining above, almost as if they were guardians of the moments I hold dear. The image reflects a time of innocence and freedom, when life was guided by curiosity, play, and the comfort of familiar surroundings. These memories continue to live within me, offering strength and comfort even as my life has changed.
Today, I live in Palermo, a place illuminated by a different light but one that feels surprisingly familiar. Here too, I have found warmth in the sun, in the people around me, and in the opportunities to build a new future. Although the landscapes are different, there are moments when the sunlight reminds me of home, creating a bridge between the life I left behind and the one I am creating now.
Through this work, I reflect on the journey between past and present, between memory and possibility. I carry with me the light of Bangladesh and the light of Palermo, each one shaping who I am. Going far away does not mean leaving everything behind; it means learning to grow from different experiences and discovering that the heart can belong to more than one place. Between two suns, I continue to find my path, carrying both worlds within me.

I come from Bangladesh, a country shaped by winding rivers, vast green landscapes, and a deep connection to nature. Some of my most cherished childhood memories are of running barefoot beneath the trees, feeling the warmth of the earth beneath my feet, and looking up at a sky that seemed close enough to touch. The natural world was not simply the backdrop of my life—it was part of who I was, present in the colors, sounds, scents, and quiet moments that filled each day.
