In the middle

In America, I'm the Sicilian girl. In Sicily, I'm the American girl. By blood, I'm split down the middle. These images explore the juxtaposition of a modern, self-liberated American with a traditional grandchild of immigrants. The symbol of the rosary is explored as an image of self- it is removed, replaced, removed, and replaced as I navigate between two identities and join the lineage of my migrant female ancestors.
