A journey from Nigeria to Palermo through food, memories, and tradition. Cooking becomes a bridge between cultures, carrying stories, care, and identity across borders.

STORIES FROM ITALY

Today, I carry these memories with me as I build a new life in Palermo. My dream is to work in a professional kitchen and share the flavors of my homeland with new people. Through my cooking, I hope others can experience a taste of Nigeria and discover the stories, traditions, and emotions behind each dish.

Food has the power to connect people beyond language and borders. Sometimes, a single flavor is enough to cross the sea, bringing distant worlds closer together and reminding us that every journey can be shared around a table.

I come from Nigeria, where vibrant markets are filled with voices, colors, and aromas that tell the story of everyday life. Growing up surrounded by these experiences, I learned that cooking is much more than preparing food, it is a way of caring for others, sharing traditions, and creating connections.

In my collage, I brought together images that reflect this part of my journey: hands preparing meals, traditional dishes, ingredients rich with meaning, and memories that have shaped who I am. Every element represents a piece of my identity and the recipes I learned from family and community, along with the moments of togetherness that food can create.
