STORIES FROM ITALY

Today, I am building a new life in Palermo. It is a life that requires responsibility, resilience, and courage. The path is not always easy, but every step forward is also a step taken for the people I love. My dream is to one day reunite my family here, so that I no longer have to choose between where I am and where I come from.

In my collage, I express the memories of my childhood and the bonds that continue to connect me to my family. It is a tribute to the people and experiences that shaped me, and a reminder that some threads can stretch across continents without ever breaking.

I come from Argentina, a place where family is at the center of everyday life and where some of my happiest memories were created. My childhood was filled with laughter, nature, shared moments, and the freedom of living without worries. It was a time marked by simple joys, surrounded by the people and places that made me feel safe and loved.

When I left my country, I brought only my sister with me, but in my heart I carried much more. I carried the voices of my family, the warmth of their embraces, the memories of home, and even the presence of my dog, who was part of those everyday moments. Although distance separates us, these memories continue to accompany me and remain an important part of who I am.

What I miss most is not only a place, but the feeling of being together without barriers or miles between us. That is why I never miss an opportunity to call my loved ones. Through conversations, shared stories, and familiar voices, I find ways to keep our connection alive. Even from afar, those relationships continue to give me strength and a sense of belonging.
